The MFI is proud to announce that at the 2nd Los Angeles Greek Film Festival (LAGFF):

• “EDUART” written and directed by MFI participant Angeliki Antoniou won the Orpheus Award for Best Feature and Best Direction (Angeliki Antoniou participated with her project “Eduart” in 2002 MFI Script Workshops program and she has won already many international awards and distinctions)
• “FALSE ALARM” directed by Katerina Evangelakou and written by MFI trainer Nikos Panayotopoulos won the Audience Award for Best Feature
• “TRANSIT” directed by Yiannis Gaitanidis and co-written by MFI Assistant Program Co-ordinator Dimitris Emmanouilidis won the Jury Orpheus Award for Best Short Film 
• “ROMEROS, JULIETA & THE GENERAL” by the MFI trainer Nick Proferes was chosen as the winner of the 2008 Los Angeles Greek Film Festival Script Competition Nissyros, July 5, 2008
